Arte e Simbolo si possono considerare imprescindibili lโ€™una dallโ€™altro nella storia dellโ€™umanitร  fino dalle sue origini.
Da quando lโ€™uomo ha sentito la necessitร  di comprendere la propria esistenza e il mondo che lo circonda, ha espresso ciรฒ con lโ€™ausilio dellโ€™Arte.
Ha realizzato manufatti che non avevano soltanto una qualche funzionalitร  quotidiana, ma che presentavano nella loro struttura parti che si collegavano a una realtร  โ€œaltraโ€œ.
Il legame che si stabilisce tra Arte e Simbolo porta a considerare il fare artistico come un linguaggio โ€œesemplareโ€œ.
Infatti, lโ€™Arte produce delle Forme Simboliche aventi funzione di termini di riferimento, di โ€œmatriciโ€ di tutti i tipi di Segni usati per comunicare.
Inoltre, lโ€™Arte puรฒ essere considerata il linguaggio โ€œesemplareโ€ perchรฉ rende espliciti Simboli che assumono valori di โ€œveritร โ€ e di โ€œsacralitร โ€œ; anche quando questi non vengano piรน
riconosciuti dal โ€œsentire comuneโ€œ.
La concretezza che lโ€™Arte dona al Simbolo rende questโ€™ultimo strumento di comunicazione.
Questo costituisce uno degli aspetti fondamentali della relazione tra Arte e Simbolo, riconoscibile universalmente.
In particolare Arte e Simbolo si uniscono per rendere visibile il sacro nella quotidianitร .
Lโ€™Arte diventa in tali casi lโ€™attivitร  per eccellenza produttrice di Simboli, attraverso modalitร  diverse nel tempo e nello spazio.
La conoscenza quindi, degli antichi simboli rappresenta un mezzo fondamentale per comprendere le opere artistiche perchรฉ esse sono piene di riferimenti allegorici e addirittura di origine precristiana che posso risalire addirittura allโ€™antica Grecia e in alcuni casi allโ€™antico Egitto. A volte i simboli hanno persino doppi o tripli significati che si sono sommati nel tempo.
Soprattutto nel Medioevo e nel Rinascimento la simbologia ha avuto una grande importanza per far capire al popolo โ€œanalfabetaโ€ il messaggio che i diversi pittori volevano condividere col pubblico che da lรฌ in avanti avrebbe ammirato le loro opere dโ€™arte.

Anna Delli Muti>>, psicologa-psicoterapeuta, si รจ laureata in Psicologia clinica e delle comunitร  presso lโ€™Universitร  โ€œLa Sapienzaโ€ di Roma. Precedentemente ha conseguito le lauree In Discipline delle Arti-Musica-Spettacolo; in Didattica della Musica, in Pianoforte; oltre a vari corsi di perfezionamento.
Si รจ formata come psicoterapeuta cognitivo-comportamentale; neuropsicologa; pedagogista interculturale; perito e/o consulente in ambito forense. Eโ€™ iscritta allโ€™albo degli psicologi della Puglia. Ha svolto anche attivitร  di CTU per il Tribunale di Foggia.
Contemporaneamente รจ risultata vincitrice di concorso nella scuola primaria dove ha ricoperto anche il ruolo di referente per il bullismo e il cyber bullismo e quello di funzione strumentale per gli alunni H.

journey through the history of art

Art and Symbol can be considered inseparable from each other in the history of mankind since its origins.
Ever since man has felt the need to understand his own existence and the world around him, he has expressed this with the help of Art.
He has made artifacts that not only had some everyday functionality, but also had parts in their structure that connected to an “other” reality.
The link that is established between Art and Symbol leads one to consider art making as an “exemplary” language.
In fact, Art produces Symbolic Forms having the function of terms of reference, of “matrices” of all kinds of Signs used to communicate.
Moreover, Art can be considered the “exemplary” language because it makes explicit Symbols that assume values of “truth” and “sacredness”; even when these are no longer
recognized by “common feeling.”
The concreteness that Art gives to the Symbol makes the latter an instrument of communication.
This constitutes one of the fundamental aspects of the universally recognizable relationship between Art and Symbol.
In particular, Art and Symbol come together to make the sacred visible in the everyday.
In such cases, Art becomes the quintessential Symbol-producing activity, through different modes in time and space.
Knowledge then, of ancient symbols represents a fundamental means of understanding artistic works because they are full of allegorical references and even of
pre-Christian origin that I can even trace back to ancient Greece and in some cases to ancient Egypt. Sometimes the symbols even have double or triple meanings that have added up over time.
Especially in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, symbolism was of great importance in making the “illiterate” people understand the message that different painters wanted to share with the public who would admire theย  works of art.

Marco Baragli> Marco Baragli has a degree in Theology and Philosophy and a Diploma in Flute at the Siena Conservatory. At the theological university he also specialized in Symbology and, for years now, has been working as a symbolist. He has published articles in various magazines, including specialized ones, and has held conferences making “alternative” readings of various works of art. He is currently a professor of philosophy at a high school in the city of Siena.ย Read more>>

Anna Delli Muti >> ย Anna Delli Muti, psychologist-psychotherapist, graduated in Clinical and Community Psychology at the “La Sapienza” University of Rome. Previously he obtained a degree in Arts-Music-Entertainment Disciplines; in Music Education, in Piano; as well as various training courses.
She trained as a cognitive behavioral therapist; neuropsychologist; intercultural educator; forensic expert and/or consultant. She is registered in the register of psychologists of Puglia. He also carried out CTU activities for the Court of Foggia.
At the same time she was the winner of the competition in primary school where she also held the role of referent for bullying and cyber bullying and that of instrumental function for pupils H.
Currently, through transition, he is employed as a music teacher in the lower secondary school.ย Read more>>
