Giorgio Bebuquin è un giovane letterato in pieno naufragio esistenziale che di capitolo in capitolo svolge una labirintica avventura urbana, in dialogo a volte filosofico, altre volte onirico o grottesco con diversi personaggi della notte: ballerine circensi, avventori di bar, uomini, donne, ombre e persino Dio. Bebuquin è alla ricerca di un miracolo che trasfiguri la realtà automatica del mondo, i meccanismi della vita e del pensiero. In questa galleria di incontro surreali si sviluppa un vero e proprio «manifesto» che trasformerà inesorabilmente le sorti della letteratura, da rappresentazione della realtà a sfida contro di essa.
Ginevra Quadrio Curzio è filosofa e germanista. Ha lavorato alla traduzione in italiano delle
Schriften di Walter Benjamin nel contesto dell’edizione critica delle Opere della casa editrice
Einaudi e tradotto e curato assieme al Prof. F. Desideri dell’Università di Firenze il carteggio tra
W. Benjamin e Th. W. Adorno. Ha inoltre scritto di arte contemporanea e cultura tedesca per il
quotidiano berlinese Berliner Zeitung, il quotidiano Il Foglio e il suo domenicale Il Foglio dei ritratti
nonché il domenicale de Il Sole24Ore.

Giorgio Bebuquin is a young man of letters in the midst of an existential shipwreck. From chapter to chapter he carries out a labyrinthine urban adventure, in a dialogue that is at times philosophical, at other times dreamlike or grotesque with various characters of the night: circus dancers, bar patrons, men, women, shadows and even God. Bebuquin is looking for a miracle that transfigures the automatic reality of the world, the mechanisms of life and thought. In this gallery of surreal encounters a true “manifesto” develops that will inexorably transform the fate of literature, from representation of reality to challenge against it.
Ginevra Quadrio Curzio is a philosopher and Germanist. She has worked on the translation into Italian of
Schriften of Walter Benjamin in the context of the critical edition of the Works of the publishing house
Einaudi publishing house and translated and edited together with Prof. F. Desideri of the University of Florence the correspondence between
W. Benjamin and Th. W. Adorno. He has also written about contemporary art and German culture for the
the Berlin daily newspaper Berliner Zeitung, the daily newspaper Il Foglio and its Sunday paper Il Foglio dei ritratti
as well as the Sunday paper Il Sole24Ore.
